Laboratory for the Analysis of Electronic Components for Medical Applications

The expert in the reliability of electronic components for medical devices

Tame-Component is the AGÔN Electronics Group's electronic component engineering laboratory.

For more than 25 years, the company has been assisting manufacturers with the qualification, characterization, analysis, and security of electronic components intended for the most critical applications, particularly in the medical field.

Through a unique approach that combines the expertise of a specialized laboratory with the pragmatic vision of an electronics manufacturer, Tame-Component is involved throughout the entire component lifecycle to ensure their reliability, durability, and compliance with the highest regulatory standards.

Unique expertise in securing medical technologies

In a medical device, the reliability of electronic components is a key factor in patient safety, product performance, and product lifespan.

Tame-Component supports manufacturers in addressing key challenges:

  • Qualification of Electronic Components
  • Characterization and Technological Validation
  • Failure Analysis
  • Reliability and Aging Tests
  • Quality Control of Components
  • Obsolescence Management
  • Counterfeit Detection
  • Qualification of Secondary Sources

This expertise makes it possible to anticipate risks from the earliest stages of development and ensure safety throughout the entire lifecycle of medical devices.

A Major Contribution to the Reliability of Active Implants

Tame-Component also actively contributes to the development of qualification methodologies for electronic components used in active implantable medical devices.

As part of the RECOME project, Tame-Component played a central role as the lead contributor to the drafting and publication of AFNOR SPEC 2311, the first standard dedicated to the processes and criteria for selecting electronic components for active implantable medical devices.

This initiative aims to standardize industrial practices, improve risk management for critical components, and enhance the safety, reliability, and reproducibility of next-generation implantable devices.
