Cisteo MEDICAL carried out the entire development phase on behalf of Thread & Lift. In fact, the client came with a need that the Cisteo MEDICAL R&D team took charge of to develop a finished and marketable product . At the start of the project, the challenge was to guarantee the adhesion of the silicone to the polyester suture thread. This adhesion was optimized by the treatment of the polyester.
Cisteo MEDICAL has completed the industrialization phase and manufactures tensioning wires in a controlled atmosphere. A production which now amounts to several tens of thousands of wires.
In addition to this technical support, we also provided regulatory support , as we helped Thread & Lift obtain CE marking for its MD classified as IIb . Since the device was put on the market, Cisteo has been strategically assisting Thread & Lift with the qualifications to be carried out and the responses to be provided during file audits.
Thread & Lift is a Belgian company, manufacturer of permanent tensioning threads intended for cosmetic surgery. This is a very specific product since there are only four manufacturers worldwide of this type of product. These threads have a particular structure, they are suture threads with a silicone overmolding which allows them a significant attachment to the skin tissues thanks to multiple attachment points.
